My approach to teaching is the love of music. I want students to engage with the subject and enjoy what they are doing whilst they develop their skills and knowledge. I like to tailor my lessons to the individual and their desired outcome. I am encouraging and motivating and I want everyone to have fun!
I am a 21-year-old singer/songwriter and First Class Honours BMus(Hons) Music Performance and Recording graduate at the London College of Music (University of West London). I have been playing the piano, guitar, singing and writing my own songs since age 13, and have been recording and performing my own material live ever since. I have performed and toured in Spain, the UK and Ireland, both acoustically and with my band.
When I was 14 I won the public prize at Mad Sound Project, a contest organised by EMI Spain, which gave me the opportunity to record some of my own material with Grammy Award-winning producer Nigel Walker (Paul McCartney, Elton John...). In 2012 I was awarded a scholarship to attend Stanford Jazz Summer Workshop for vocalists at Stanford University (San Francisco) and in 2013 I attended two Summer courses at ICMP (London) on performance and songwriting.
I have had my music played on many local radios, as well as BBC Introducing London and Spanish national radio.
I am outgoing, friendly and approachable and adapt to the student's needs, all ages! I am extremely enthusiastic and passionate about music and I encourage students to progress and explore their musical abilities and love for the subject. If you want to, you can do it!
I mainly specialise in pop and rock music and I have grade 8 Popular Music Theory. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, so I can teach students in both languages.
If I have to travel I charge an extra £5 up to 10 miles. However, if I have to travel further, depending on time and travel costs, there may be an extra charge.
