EMPLOYMENT
October 2020 – February 2021 Chilly’s Bottles| London Customer Service Adviser
Delivered the highest level of customer care and experience by following effective solution focused guidance to resolve over 80 email and live chat enquiries per day. I consistently liaised with the core customer service, warehouse, and international courier teams to keep updated with stock levels, price fluctuations, customs charges, and internal postal delays which allowed me to update customers thoroughly with beneficial information. Ensured I balanced the needs of customers with the views of Chilly’s by applying relevant objection handling techniques when responding and escalating customer complaints.

LEGAL WORK EXPERIENCE
April 2019 – September 2019 Employment Law Advice Line| London Internship
Worked independently whilst conducting telephone interviews with individuals requiring employment advice. Retrieved detailed information about the client and their situation by actively listening and recording responses concisely as to assist the volunteer lawyer in providing accurate advice. Developed my legal and commercial understanding of topics such as workplace discrimination, unfair dismissal and processing an employment tribunal claim. Ensured individuals remained calm throughout their initial interview and reassured individuals who became distressed from recounting specific events.

October 2018 – May 2019 National Pro Bono Centre | London Internship
Reviewed Access to Justice Foundation grant applications from nationwide law clinics by assessing their finances, business plans and reasons for requiring a grant. Produced constructive feedback for applicants who were unsuccessful in their grant application. Analysed, researched and condensed reports on topics such as the post-implementation review of LASPO into summary articles that were published by the Litigant in Person Network. Designed promotional material that was marketed across social media for the Sharing Solutions Conference attended by over 100 advice sector employees.

September 2017 - March 2018 Citizens Advice Bureau | Liverpool Trainee Adviser
Completed online training on employment, housing and immigration matters that were affecting the local Merseyside community. Shadowed advisors during client interviews and learnt how to provide practical holistic advice using legal research on debt management, mortgage arrears and creditor action. Learned how to professionally handle distressed clients during face to face and telephone interviews. Communicated referral information to clients who needed extra support and ensured that clients understood the next steps in their action.

June - September 2017 Haringey Migrant Support Centre | London Legal Volunteer
Created and managed an online client filing system that tracked client progress and detailed how HMSC had provided support to the client. Provided reassurance and empathy to visitors who were vulnerable and urgently contacted housing associations and shelters to ensure homeless, pregnant and/or domestic violence victims were given high priority. Greeted visitors to HMSC and allocated them an appointment with immigration or housing lawyers as well as personally providing visitors with benefit form filling support.

June – September 2016 Liverpool University Law Clinic | Liverpool Legal Volunteer
Researched a client’s immigration position and simplified large amounts of complex legal information from the Home Office to prepare an action plan and valuable questions to ask the client at interview. Delegated team members specific research roles that would enhance our understanding of statelessness law. Demonstrated client confidentiality whilst handling highly sensitive information when accompanying clients to the Eritrean and Iranian embassies to offer support at immigration meetings and to draft witness statements.
