My teaching method is different for everyone. Whatever your focus is, be it gaining confidence performing, or wanting to sing that big Beyoncé song, I've been through the same learning process and aim to use my own experiences and lessons I've learnt along the way to help you reach your full potential and achieve your goals.
I can help with:
• gaining confidence performing and developing various techniques to help with performance anxiety
• improving and developing various vocal techniques that will equip you with the skills to sing the songs you want to
• helping build a repertoire that suits your voice
• expanding your vocal range, and learning techniques to manage your break and weaker areas
• improving pitching & ear training
• learning how to improvise
• developing your own style, helping to make covers your own
• learning how to do backing vocals and harmonies
• preparing you for auditions, performances, recordings and entry exams
• basics of piano playing and accompaniment
I am fun, friendly, patient and look forward to working with you :)
I am a first class Music graduate from Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts where I gained skills in vocal technique, songwriting and performance. Alongside my studies I formed my own backing band and have performed across the country at venues such as Glastonbury Music Festival, and the well renowned Cavern Club, as well as supporting up and coming Jazz singer, Joy Crookes.
My teaching experience includes leading a children's choir, teaching music to ages 6 months to 10 years at nursery and after school clubs, and one-to-one vocal coaching.
Perfect! Alena was prompt and very professional when responding to my initial enquiry on her availability to coach my 9 year old daughter, Isabelle. It was immediately evident that she has significant experience and expertise with children, as she successfully eased Isabelle’s initial anxiety during our first consultation. She’s the right balance between friendly and goal-oriented, and I left the discussion with a strong conviction that she would encourage and nurture her interest in singing. We’re both really looking forward to future lessons!.
Perfect! Molly is very kind, helpful and an excellent tutor. She made me feel confident about my singing and immediately pointed the areas that need improvement! I am looking forward to my next lessons with her :)
Perfect! The singing lessons are great and I can really feel and hear a difference in my voice and my skills, although it hasn't been that long ago that we started. It's lovely to work with Molly and she is very kind and fun to be around. Thanks!
Perfect! Great teacher !

Molly is professional, enthusiastic, kind and inspiring. She’s built connection very fast.
Perfect! She never thinks anything is impossible. She’s open to teaching pitching in other languages . She makes me very excited to see her every week.
Perfect! Molly is wonderful. I would recommend her without hesitation. She is calm, capable, and cares deeply about the progress of her students. She went above and beyond in trying to assess where I needed work and put together exercises and a plan to reach my goals. Totally happy with everything.
Perfect! Very good trial session
Perfect! Molly is a really fun, engaging and talented teacher. She has vivacity and a beautiful voice which makes class really enjoyable for our 7 year old boy. Jay really enjoyed Molly's lesson and he is not so easy to entertain.

Molly is the best tutor ever. She is so supportive, kind, friendly, clear, adaptable, warm and patient. She has all the qualities you would hope for in a teacher. I could not recommend her more. I find it so easy to learn from her and am genuinely enjoying myself. I can imagine learning from anyone else. As I said, could not recommend more!

I have loved singing for as long as I can remember, and could supposedly hum the Match of the Day theme tune before turning one! We were always encouraged to dance around the kitchen and me and my younger sister were putting on some sort of concert at least once a week. As I grew up, music became my way of expressing myself and my emotions and I soon realised that performing allowed me to be my best self.
Old school jazz, blues and soul. A compilation of all the greats, such as BB King, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and Nina Simone would do me just fine for days!
My experience in teaching so far has shown me that for so many people, confidence is the biggest hurdle. Given that my passion is in performance, I feel that a course in which we are working towards a live performance, preferably in original material as I thoroughly enjoy helping with songwriting too, would be really exciting, challenging and rewarding.
Out of the ones I've tried, violin was pretty tragic! But I genuinely do think 'mastering' singing has a very unique set of challenges. Being the only instrument that is within your body, it can involve some quite abstract concepts and so much of it is mental. Taking control of your mind and the way you think about aspects of the song and the song as a whole has such an impact on the delivery. For me, it's what makes it the most beautiful instrument but I think it also makes it the hardest.
Always tell the story. Tap into the emotion of the song, find the meaning for you if it's a cover, and allow yourself to use various techniques to paint the picture. Not only is this, I believe, the most important reason for playing music, it also has the bonus feature of stopping you from overthinking all the small details, most will end up happening naturally. Also, enjoy it. What's the point if it's not fun.
Alicia Keys - She's always been a massive inspiration to me and I would love to pick her brains on how to forge a healthy, sustainable and happy career as a musician. She just seems like she's got it worked out.
Nina Simone - I just think she'd be an amazing person to meet and I would hope she's give us an impromptu performance!
Maverick Sabre - So I can ask him if I can write a song with him and support him on his next tour.
When I was younger I used to do lots of piano concerts. I had one in a grand concert hall in Bristol and I was mega nervous. My dad took me, along with my younger sister who is still scarred from being dragged to all my various concerts and performances! I remember him saying to me, before the concert started, "Just imagine it's only you and the piano in the room". I remember going on stage, doing my little bow, and looking up and seeing only my dad and sister looking back at me. I still think about that moment when I'm nervous before a gig.
I always ask what else is going on in life! We have a little catch up on general stuff and lots of my students feel like my friends too. I ensure people feel at ease with me, that they feel they can ask any question and the lesson is supposed to be fun.
