With a background in both Performing Arts and Academics, and with a good understanding of psychology, I am able to adapt the teaching style the individual and not vice versa. I appreciate that everybody has their own way of learning and feel this is something that should be celebrated. Just as I am passionate about my area, I aim to empower my students to fall in love with their subject, be hungry to learn more and actually develop a desire to excel. Additionally, I am a trained mentor and have a strong awareness of learning disabilities and believe that every person should have an equal opportunity to unlock their true potential!
My background is certainly not a linear progression but rather a series of experiences and decisions that have lead to my eventual path of psychology. I started out in performing arts and musical theatre before making the decision to move to London and start a personal training business. After building my business I decided to take on the additional challenge of going to university to gain a Sport and Exercise Science degree. I was incredibly passionate about my subject, particularly the psychology component. For my final research piece, I partnered with a charity and mentored a group of youth at-risk using sports psychology and fell in love with psychology that much I made the decision to complete my masters in that subject.
After graduating with a first class degree in sport and exercise science and having started up and maintained a successful personal training business throughout, my expertise doesn't lie solely within the realms of academics but also in time management and entrepreneurial spirit.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy for lessons.
