I'm near the end of my first year of the course and I am willing to give lessons to anyone interested in A level sociology (AQA) and possibly GCSE (AQA). Although I did not do GCSE Sociology myself, it has similar content. I have experience teaching extra curricular activities but I have never taught in an academic setting, however I am willing to learn so we can both learn new things! I don't see myself as a strict teacher as I would rather have a friendly environment.
I am currently studying A levels Sociology, Law and French (exam boards AQA). I am in the process of completing my gold DoE award so I need to volunteer. By using Superprof, I can complete my volunteering, help myself remember what I've studied, and help others at the same time. I found that sociology changes how I view the world for better (and worse!) but ultimately, I thoroughly enjoy it and it's an engaging and interesting subject. I live a few minutes away from Lincoln and go to a local school in the area.
Rates will stay the same whether you're at GCSE or A level, there is no cancellation policy moneywise, but I would prefer if I could be told the day before.
As well as the core subjects, I studied drama, french, geography and history at GCSE, all of which I passed. I then joined sixth form to study what I'm studying now. I've been doing karate for 8 years and have extensive experience teaching through this. It has also introduced me to different aspects of family life, which is fundamental for sociology as family is nearly one half od the course. I am also interested in fitness generally and I have an affection for animals. I enjoy teaching although I don't have much experience in an academic setting, I feel that this is a good place to start.
