My main method is to always speak to the children in French, without fail. Usually, I start with what aspect of languages they find hardest (speaking, writing or reading) and what kind of vocabulary / grammar they struggle with. I then base my lessons around these, sometimes using textbooks / exam papers relative to the level they are aiming for.
I am half French and have lived in France for 13 years, therefore speak fully fluent French. I have previously taught children aged 3-16 in formal and informal environments, training them to achieve levels from basic understanding to GCSE A* grades.
