I teach beginners up to diploma level. My focus is on encouraging my pupils to enjoy their lessons. I like them to play music that inspires them and am happy to work to the ABRSM exam syllabus, or explore a wider range of music styles. If people enjoy playing their instrument, they are much more likely to practise between lessons and this is where the improvement happens.

Emma taught me to play the guitar. She gets the balance between friendly and focused just right. She was so supportive, and even though I’m very much a fully grown human she seemed to teach to, and reassure my self conscious and apprehensive inner child. She is highly skilled in many instruments and a great people’s person to boot. You’ll learn a lot from her and enjoy the journey.
I am a professional musician and although she is my daughter I have hired her on numerous occasions to play for me. Her flute playing technique is excellent and she has a beautiful tone. She has a tried and tested record of teaching pupils to a good grade standard.
