I believe teaching is about bringing out the best in others. Teaching isn't about telling, rather it is about supporting individuals to learn and discover their talents. I break things down, and help make assignments and exams appear less daunting by simplifying the requirements set before the student.
I'm an exemplary First Class graduate of Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations. I have extraordinary communications skills, having previously worked as a Freelance Journalist. During my time in university I mentored fellow students on their essay writing skills. I can provide assistance with English GCSEs, A Level essay writing, and university assignment support.
BA (Hons) Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations First Class
As part of my degree in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, I’ve had a broad range of practical experience. As part of my Digital Marketing Strategy module, I learned how to balance an innovative digital strategy across all elements of the marketing mix. I’ve also crafted marketing communications plans, and worked on an advertising pitch. I also gained firsthand experience handling a PR crisis, as part of a crisis scenario. In that I led a group of individuals playing the role of PR staff handling a major incident. We were given time to craft a statement, before fending off questions from two veteran tabloid journalists. My studies finished in May, and I’ve been awarded a first-class degree classification.
Prior to studying for my degree, I worked for 3 years remotely as a freelancer, while dealing with ill health.
inside.com - From March 2015 - July 2015 Freelance/remote
I worked as a freelancer for inside.com. Inside was founded as a start-up by famed angel investor, Jason Calacanis.
At Inside I held the role of News Curator and I also assisted in the management of the Inside Gadgets Twitter page, posting content and growing the audience. As part of that position, I partook in a training program, reinforcing the skills I have in delivering clear and concise content, as well as ensuring my familiarity with Associated Press style.
eTeknix - Freelance - November 2014 - March 2015
Before Inside, I wrote for eTeknix.com, a site that receives 800,000 - 1 million+ visits a month and has over 63,000 ‘likes’ on Facebook. I published between 5-10 articles a day, 7 days a week, concerning general technology news. I was also in charge of Mobile and Consumer reviews at eTeknix. (concealed information)
AppleInsider - Freelance - November 2014
I have also contributed a number of articles to AppleInsider - one of the biggest Apple news sites on the web, receiving 2 million unique visitors a month. You can see some of my named contributions, some of which are listed below.

Previous Projects: (Mid/late 2013 - September 2016)
After leaving 6th form in 2013, I worked on some of my own projects, with a view of turning them into businesses. I created Lapeler, which was a web management service. With Lapeler I built a website from the ground up, managed social media promotions, and undertook market research. I also gained experience in managing SEO. I moved on from Lapeler due to a lack of available investment and the prospect of other opportunities.
I also developed Walsall Reports, which was my attempt at a local news site. I noticed the lack of local journalism in Walsall and set out to change that. I designed and built the site with Wordpress and recruited a number of volunteer writers to cover various subjects. Eventually Walsall Reports received around 1,000 visitors each week and published a number of articles per day, but advertising potential was not great enough for it to be sustainable in the long term.

Essential Skills and Volunteering Experience
I am competent in a variety of software packages, including the entire Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and I have an in-depth knowledge of a variety of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux systems. I also have extensive knowledge of a variety of Content Management Systems including and especially WordPress (I’ve built two sites in WordPress).
At school I volunteered to be and was elected a Head Student during 6th form. I acted as an ambassador for the school and participated in a variety of events. I also co-chaired the school's parliament and met regularly with a team of student representatives giving feedback and suggestions to senior staff. Notably, I co-hosted my school's Presentation Evening in front of 300 guests at Walsall Town Hall.
