Methodology

My teaching approach is unlike that of the typical school education.

My lessons are focused on concepts, visualisation and understanding before learning. For example, instead of trying to cram the quadratic formula into a students head we first gain an appreciation for how it works!

Often times this will be through diagrams and visual means, it's like that light bulb when you finally understand something. That's what I aim to give students, not a seemingly random arrangement of letters and numbers and letters to memorise but foster a deep understanding of mathematics.

I am always friendly, and of course, will take time as necessary so the student can understand. We all learn at different paces, in different ways and at different times. I try to give engaging lessons and be a friend to the student, this is done with various thought provoking questions, puzzles and good communication.
