My teaching methods are based on the Russian style that comes from the Legat System in which I trained. It is very similar to Vaganova style and I tend to mix and match from my own experience. Apaulement and musical awareness are key factors in my enchainment and I insist on beautiful lines and engaging presence even in the classroom. I believe that correct placement of the body direction, allows smoother flowing transitions through enchainment, thus creating space for more expressive work.
I teach according to the requirements and individual strengths of each dancer. I firmly believe that everyone has their own quality and for me it is important to recognise and nurture this whilst also perfecting a sound technique in the weaker areas.
Dance is an Art not a sport and this is a major focus of my teaching. The movements are expressed through the dancer, (the artist) to give meaning and interest. A solid technique and flexibility allow the all-encompassing beauty to be presented with quality and this starts in the studio, to then be taken on stage.
As a freelance teacher, Tasha has taught in London, Italy, Thailand and China. She has been a judge for the International Dance Association Competition; Expression and is a Trustee and Examiner with the Russian Ballet Society.

it's benefits, which she incorporates in her strengthening technique and body alignment floor work. She has a small home studio for this with a barre and mirror.
Tasha was a former soloist with London City Ballet and has been teaching ballet and character dance world wide since 2006.
After eight years training at the Legat School, she was accepted into the Italian company run by the Romanian premier dancer, Marinel Stefanescu and Prima Ballerina, Liliana Cosi. She later joined London City Ballet touring all over the world, dancing major soloist and principal roles in many of the classics.
After she left LCB she went into acting for a while, got married to an actor and had two incredible children. She then started singing and very quickly formed the band; Winnet, which performed many of her own songs all around London. During this time she also became involved in scriptwriting and producing short films and music videos for the band. Throughout her many contributions to the arts, her first love, ballet has remained firm. Since becoming a teacher, her knowledge has deepened
and her ability to pass on her passion has grown and developed over the years. Tasha is dedicated to the art of being a great teacher from which her own learning stems from.

Tasha is a wonderful, charismatic and experienced teacher. She is very creative and passionate and not only works on technique but also the emotion and portrayal of the choreography and performance. She is kind and inspiring to work with and a true artist, who I am certain will enhance you technique and emotion as a dancer!
I have had Tasha as a personal tutor for many years - ordinarily this would be in person but for the last few months, the sessions have been online. Tasha is an excellent teacher, incredibly patient and encouraging, despite me having no natural knack..! She makes every lesson interesting and adapts to how I am feeling and my particular needs that week, drawing on a variety of techniques and her immense knowledge. I have found her invaluable in helping me understand my body more and getting it move in ways I would not have thought possible. I always end my sessions with her feeling very positive and energised. So for dancers looking to improve their technique, to those that want to improve their fitness or become more confident in understanding their body, I would absolutely recommend Tasha!
Tasha is a wonderful teacher, whose passion and dedication to dance, emits through her teaching with such thorough and detailed feedback. Her positivity, drive and focus to the arts, is what makes Tasha one of a kind, and a highly valuable member in the industry. It is such a pleasure to have Tasha teach at The London Ballet Company.
