Patience, and encouraging as much independent application as possible. I believe children learn best by doing, and that lessons should be broken up well by exercises and activities. Students engage best with the subject when it is made relevant to them, therefore I try to connect the subject with elements of my students world to help them understand and enjoy the subject further.
I am a Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation Masters Student at UCL, with a background in teaching science and Biology from years 7 up to 11. I have also worked in marketing for three years and have a graphic design portfolio.
I am about to begin a Masters student at UCL, studying Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation. My undergraduate degree was in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biology and Chemistry in which I achieved a First Class Hons. I taught Biology for the year after graduating to 8 different classes from years 7 to 11, also teaching general sciences including Physics and Chemistry to years 7 and 8. I was made Head of School at my secondary school and was awarded an Academic Scholarship and the English Prize in my final year of school.
