My approach surrounds identifying with each student and the manner in which they will be employing the language.
Beyond simply covering core elements of a given curriculum, language needs to be assessed in line with context, in turn preparing my students to use the language as naturally as they would their native.
Having studied various EBL (evidence-based learning) strategies, it is evident that we all learn differently and in order to ensure continued engagement, I firmly believe that a tutor ought to identify each individual's learning style initially and build around that - which has not only proven successful for my students, but helped deliver a learning experience which holds real value.
