I am an enthusiastic, supportive tutor who will use your progress to structure lessons.
Together we will identify your weakest areas and focus on strengthening these skills, using our time wisely so that you can improve faster in a shorter time frame.
I will mainly provide support feeding off your current studies, i.e. helping you with your homework, going over class work and exams/past papers, and giving revision lessons on topics you’re less confident about, such as a specific grammar rule.
My own strengths are in reading and writing in French, but I can also help you with verbal skills i.e. pronunciation, spontaneous speaking. My previous experiences and study of French (I got an A at GCSE, am predicted an A at A-level, and hope to continue studying French at university) will help ensure that you achieve the best grade you can when it comes to exams.
I have been tutoring for just under a year.
This was initially on a voluntary basis, but my first client saw so much improvement her parents were willing to pay. Initially she was barely getting any marks (U grades), but after starting twice-weekly tutoring sessions with me she is now getting C/D grades, and I'm confident she will improve further in the year before her A-level exams.
Whatever grades you are getting at the moment, I will provide you with the knowledge, skills and support you need to achieve the best grade you can.
