I teach students at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners.
I privilege a communicative method, which will prioritise the speaking skills of the student, although I can adapt to more specific needs, especially when preparing for an exam.
I believe the key to language learning is to make the student the main agent, and I try to provide an immersive experience in the classroom by limiting the use of English. I try to recreate the conditions in which someone would learn French by going abroad, while providing the expertise of someone who can explain the general linguistic structures and grammar.
I have experience teaching in the classroom (high school and university), in French institutes (Alliance Française) and in private tutorials.
I have been teaching French for other four years, in three different countries (United Kingdom, United States, and the Ukraine).
I have taught over a 100 different students.
My students have all achieved the goals we had set: academic grades, GCSE, University (UK) exams, or DELF/DALF level.
I can offer a reduced rate should you want a class with 2 students, to be negotiated when you contact me.
For bigger groups, an arrangement should be discussed beforehand as to the location, length of the class, and number of students.
If asked to teach a specific class (e.g. French literature, history, for business purposes), the rates mights also vary according to the requirements.
*First free lesson will last 30 mins, upon request by the student.

Perfect! Wonderful Tutor, highly recommended!
My daughter was not confident with her French Speaking and we contacted Olivia to give her a few lessons leading up to her GCSE exams. My daughter loved being tutored by Olivia (who came to the house) and her confidence grew in just a few lessons. She got an 8 (A*) for her French and this was hugely down to Olivia!!! I can't recommend her highly enough.
Perfect! Olivia is an amazing teacher!!! She taught french to my two daughters (10 and 13) because they needed to keep studying french while we were on sabbatical in Oxford for a year (we are originally from France).
Both my kids enjoyed these courses very very much.
The older one never read so much before. She read (and worked with Olivia) 6 different novels throughout the year.
The younger one needed to work on french grammar and spelling. This is not a very exciting subject, but Olivia managed to make it enjoyable.
Olivia is very serious, dedicated and knowledgeable. The fact she studies history is also a great asset to work with kids (they learnt a lot on history too).
