I adapt my teaching methods to the age and needs of my students.
When teaching children I make learning to be fun. I use memorising techniques, songs, rimes and roles plays. I want learning to be intuitive and based on children natural abilities to quickly memorise things when they are immersed in the language.
With teenagers who are preparing for their GCSC/ A-level exams I tailor my teaching methods to the exams requirements. I look into the curriculum and we work together in order to get the best possible results.
When teaching adults, I first assess their level and needs, and then we agree a plan and the areas where they need improvement, or where we think they should focus on, for example: speaking, writing, understanding. I use both academic and intuitive methods when working with adults.
I have a Master's degree in French language and linguistics from a university in France where I studied and worked for 5 years. In 2009 I have been awarded a Certificate of Membership of the Charted Institute of Linguists in London in French. I also have taught French to students of various age groups (3-years-old to university level).
I gave one-to-one lessons to nursery children, taught to groups of 20 children in an after school club and gave tailored lessons to GCSC and A -level students in preparation for their exams. I also taught French to 2nd year university students
