I try to include oral practice and conversation in my lessons as I find it's the best and most natural way to become familiar with things that have just been taught.
I also try to find out about the learner's interests and to prepare lessons, activities or homework that will match those interests and be more engaging for them.
With students, I always look at former tests or examination papers to figure out what they're struggling with and to help them improve.
