My name is Adrien and after 22 years working as an electronic engineer, I am embarking on my ultimate career as a teacher in maths/physics. As a football coach, I like to bring the best out of my students by mentoring them and by being available when they need me the most. Consolidation and good practice are the methods that I preach.
I am fully certified from the General Teaching Council for Scotland as a secondary Maths and Physics teacher.
I have given Maths' lessons to a student who was diagnosed with a small form of dyslexia and she has passed both her Nat5 assessments with 85% and her SQA Nat5 qualification with a ‘B’.
My other students were my daughter who is doing her BSc at Herriot-Watt university and my son who is benefiting from my Physics Open-University course (from Classical to Quantum Physics).
I taught Nat5 maths to a couple of brothers who succeeded with an ‘A’ and a ‘B’. My last student was tutored in French and passed his Nat5 with an ‘A’.
If I have to travel for a face-to-face lesson, there is a fixed extra fee of £5/hr.

Adrien is a very patient tutor who has been helping me with National 5 Maths. He explains everything clearly in a way that helps me understand. Maths does not come naturally to me but Adrien understands it very well and the extra tuition I have had from Adrien has given me the confidence to carry on with the subject.
