In order for a language to be taught, I think that the best method is constant oral practice. What matters is to keep the attention of students on what’s fun about French while also giving them the chance to start using the language right away. Using movies, TV shows or easy reads is essential. I usually like to use visual elements as well, colors and flashcards. But this can be adapted to the student.
I am studying Politics, Philosophy and Law at King's College London. I grew up between Paris and Singapore before moving to London over a year ago. In Singapore, I used to teach French to some kids who showed incredible progress. Not only is French my mother tongue, but I also got the equivalent of A* on my Language and Literature baccalaureates.
