At the beginning of every lesson I start off with a short task that can range from a quick French to English translation to 5 grammar questions, this is to stimulate the student’s long term memory through elaborative rehearsal. According to the exam board of the student’s school, we will go through the topics in chronological order this will include listening, reading and writing activities. Mini vocabulary/topic tests will be done at the end of every month just for me to see which areas of the specification needs revisiting.
For majority of the lesson I will communicate in French and the student should try to do so too where possible.
I am a student, that is currently studying Biology. I was born and raised in the Uk but my parents are both from the DRC so French is the language they are most comfortable speaking so therefore it was taught to me from a young age.
