Methodology
Studying history isn't just about memorising dates and names. It's about developing a more sophisticated understanding of ourselves by learning from those peoples and cultures that have come before.
In our lessons we will work together to make you an accomplished historian. Discussing important historical events and themes will help build up your knowledge of the relevant subject matter. We will then put this knowledge to the test by working to improve your writing and analytical skills!
My lessons are suitable for students of all ages and abilities, and are tailor made for each student. If you have a particular problem or are struggling with a certain area of history, just let me know and we can work through it it together.
Through our lessons I hope to improve your confidence as a history student and convince you that studying the past can actually be really fun!
Experience
I have been giving private lessons in History for three years and in that time have learnt a lot about the ways in which people struggle when it comes to studying history.
I have experience studying a wide range of historical time periods. I have written about Sumer, the world's old civilization, the Enlightenment in Germany and most recently Latin American History in the 20th Century, eventually writing my thesis on the Salvadoran Civil War in the 1980s.
I really enjoy teaching history and helping unlocking the potential that each student possesses.

August 2014- Achieved 11A* at GCSE Level in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths, English Language, English Literature, Spanish, Religious Studies, Drama, Geography and History.
July 2016- Achieved Advanced Levels in Chemistry, Biology and History
High Education Achievements:
July 2019- Completed a Year Abroad studying History and Spanish at the University of Seville as part of the Erasmus Programme.
July 2020- Graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA (first class honours) in History.
December 2020- Accepted to study for an MPhil in Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge, commencing in October 2021.
