I tutor primarily on line using zoom as my video conferencing tool. I love tutoring small groups and individuals who tell me I am a very approachable, friendly tutor with a wealth of knowledge regarding examination technique. I have the ability to simplify all theory ensuring the tutees build on their basic knowledge and then secure full understanding. I endeavour to ensure all theory is grounded before applying the knowledge to examination style questions.
PGCE Biology, BSc Hons 2:1 Microbiology, 20 years' teaching experience including the last 7 years tutoring A-level Biology to around 350 tutees as individuals or groups. Excellent results with all tutees improving beyond their target grade. Many successful potential Medics, Vets, Dentists and Biology students have gained A* in Biology A-level and managed to secure a place at their first choice University following weekly tuition. On-line tuition only.
£60 for One to One Tuition per hour
£32.50 for Group Tuition per hour
If I have to cancel a lesson for any reason, I will try to rearrange this if it is possible.
If you are unable to make a session, please request a change in time for the week at least 48 hours in advance. Lessons cancelled by parents or tutees with less than 48 hours’ notice must still be paid for, unless these are cancelled in exceptional circumstances. It is very important to start and end sessions on time due to a full schedule; so if you are late, it usually will not be possible to make up that time.
Persistent Parent/Tutee Cancellation
I reserve the right to terminate tuition if lessons have been cancelled on a regular basis without prior arrangement and to offer tuition to a student on the waiting list.

Nicky really helped me get a deeper understanding of the topics I was learning at school and helped us with our exam technique. She really supported ellie and I through our alevels helping us in any way she could and teaching us in the style we found we learnt better with. Would highly recommend!
Thank you so much to Nicky for providing me with the confidence and understanding that i needed to be successful at A level biology. Highly recomend Tweedle’s biology tuition if you are looking for a friendly tutor who is clear and able to explain everthing in a way that is easy to understand and takes the time to guide inderviduals and provide support throughout.
Nicky is a fab biology teacher - one of the most enthusiastic teachers I have ever met! I have really learnt the material in depth, she explains ideas and concepts very clearly in a way which makes it so easy to understand. Absolutely recommend her 100%!!!
Amazing tutor, improved my confidence aswell as my marks, warm environment and easy to learn in. Even in a group setting, Nicky manages to tend to individual needs and struggles and help everyone. 10/10
I went to Nicky for Biology tuition for both of my A level years and can safely say that I would not have achieved the grade I did without her! Nicky takes her time to explain all the material and offer extra detail where desired or take it back a step if needed, and will go through content as much as required in as many ways as possible until it sinks in! She is more than happy to go through exam questions/tests from class you have struggled with as well as helping ou prepare for may scientific essays, and the bank of questions she has when it comes time to revise was invaluable in helping me feel prepared and less stressed about the exam! Nicky is also happy to support you with university/job applications, and even after you have finished education and moved on she will lend an ear if you ever need advice or help in the future. Thank you so much Nicky!
Nicky really helped me fully understand Biology A level and what the exam consisted of. Her knowledge and experience along with her enthusiasm encouraged me to persevere. The resources she provided were also great for revision. Furthermore, Nicky helped me write my personal statement for university and proofread my EPQ. Many thanks for the help!!! Would highly recommend for any A-level Biology student.
Whilst in my first year of my A-Levels I was really struggling with Biology, until my mum came across the wonderful Nicky!!! I cannot recommend Nicky enough, she literally got me through Biology and helped me understand so much. No question was too much or too silly, sometimes you just can’t get your head around something and need that special analogy!!
Two years on and I am now a student paramedic and I still look back on my notes from Nicky! Lovely lovely very talented lady!!
