Fully qualified English and Maths tutor available for after-school pick ups and babysitting

I am available to pick up children from school and take them home - can make their dinner if required and any other jobs. Also available to tutor in all academic subjects up to GCSE level.

I believe that it is important to find a style of learning that works best for the individual, whether this be creatively or a more traditional approach. Ordinarily I ensure the learner's understanding of the content, then work through some examples together, and finally assign a piece of independent work that can be collaboratively marked in our next session.

Available to pick children up/babysit, make dinner and tutor if required.

Small travel fee may be applicable depending upon distance.

I teach academic tutoring, school support, methodology, afterschool pick-up & baby-sitting, school coaching. For the level(s)primary, secondary, GCSE, as level, a level, BTEC, adult education, undergraduate, masters, diploma, doctorate.
I give lessons in person, at my home or the student's home.
I give lessons by Webcam.

India's CV

Personal profile
I am a dedicated, hard-working and determined individual, currently studying Criminology at the University of Manchester. I enjoy interacting and helping others, and would like to pursue a career in the future which involves this. Currently I work part-time in a tuition centre, where I teach English and Maths to learners aged from four to sixteen years.
Communication – My role as a tutor requires me to engage with a range of ages, abilities and personalities in order to achieve the most successful results. As well as this, I was selected to be compere trained, meaning that I now regularly give parents feedback on their child’s progress and am their first port of call for any queries or concerns they may have. This has not only developed my verbal communication skills, but also my confidence in speaking to individuals of all ages. It has also equipped me in dealing with a variety of challenging behaviour. Additionally, my university course provides me with the opportunity of debating controversial topics in a mature and confident manner.

Team work – I have developed my team working skills through many positions. One example of this was in a developing secondary school, where I worked alongside a group of students in order to improve the quality of learning taking place. We regularly presented our findings in front of large audiences to senior members of staff.

Leadership – Following my role as a Learning Scene Investigator, I then directed a group of Lead Learner Practitioners, who worked closely with Heads of Department within the school. Furthermore, as a tutor, I often manage the centre, which involves me overseeing the work of fellow tutors, managing behaviour, completing a range of administration tasks and liaising with parents.

Time management – The tuition centre operates on a walk-in basis, meaning the number of learners walking through the door cannot be guaranteed, leading to many busy periods. This has taught me how to make effective decisions on the spot and work well under pressure, remaining calm and ensuring that the high quality of customer service is not affected. In addition to this, when tutoring, I work with groups of six children at a time, therefore I have to ensure that my attention is divided equally.

Sales – I have also had the opportunity of gaining sales training through my current position. This has equipped me in discussing the alternate packages we offer, as well as the variety of resources that the centre boasts. Our centre is exceeding expectations, particularly with regards to the number of children who sign up.
Work experience
Child and Adult Workforce Customer Support Assistant at Shipley Library – June-August 2016
During volunteering at the Library as an Ambassador over the summer, the customer service role involved me dealing with members of the public and aiding them with queries, as well as a range of administration duties. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with different individuals and tailoring services towards their specific needs. Moreover, the role also heightened my leadership abilities along with organisation skills when planning sessions that allowed a range of individuals at different ages to engage with the tasks.
Explore Learning – February 2017 – ongoing
I am very passionate about my role as a tutor at Explore Learning, increasing my ambition for my centre to be the very best that it can be for our customers. This involves creating a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere that is enjoyable for the members. It has also equipped me with a range of skills, all of which I believe can be put to excellent use. I believe that my dedication to this company proves that I am a hardworking individual, who is committed to optimising her skill set and continuing her personal development.

In my free time I love to travel and explore new places, experiencing different cultures. I love to spend time socialising with my friends, mainly finding new Indian and Mexican restaurants. Reading is another hobby of mine, particularly romance novels – and buying excessive amounts of stationery! Furthermore, I am an active member of the gym; regularly attending spinning and Zumba classes. I also have a keen passion for fashion and beauty; I feel it is important to always be well-presented.
