As a fully qualified secondary school science teacher I apply the same structure and assessment as I would in the classroom on a one to one basis. Depending on the students needs I can teach entire topics or pin point the students weaknesses. Upon completion of the topic I assess their understanding with past paper topic specific questions. Then, offer time to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses from the assessment. This gives the opportunity for students to not only learn content but also how to access all marks available within a mark scheme (e.g. how to get all 6 marks in a 6 mark question).
I am a secondary science teacher working full time in Bristol. Prior to teaching I completed a Sport and Exercise Science degree and then began my PGCE with the University of Bristol. Upon completion of my PGCE I have been teaching for two years. This includes all year groups and AS Biology.
