My methodology of teaching is to broaden students minds to allow them to understand why, rather than how. My number one priority is getting students to realise that anybody can do well in mathematics with enough practise and thought.
I am sixth former at Barton Court Grammar School studying A-levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Further Mathematics. I am trusted with prefect roles in both mathematics and physics, meaning that I regularly tutor younger students. I wish to go beyond KS5 and study mathematics at Cambridge University.

I am a hardworking 16-year-old, and always looking for a challenge. I am a huge enthusiast of mathematics and physics, I feel as though problem-solving activities are my most reliable source of entertainment. During my free hours: I tend to enjoy reading non-fiction books written by world renown physicists (such as: Steven Hawking, Richard Feynman, Brian Greene, and Albert Einstein just to name a few.) who I look up to as idols.
I am currently in my first year of sixth form (year 12), studying at Barton Court Grammar School. I have chosen to study A-levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Further Mathematics. I am also attending biweekly STEP (Sixth Term Examination Process) classes at the University of Kent in order to prepare my admission process at Cambridge University (studying Mathematics with Physics). I studied at The Archbishop’s School Canterbury during my GCSEs, below are my GCSE grades:
Subjects Grade (1-9) Grade (U-A*)
English literature 5 C
English language 6 B
Mathematics 8 A*
Double award science 8 A*
History 5 C
Geography 6 B
Resistant materials 4 C
ICT 9 A*
I was also awarded a merit in the English-speaking exam.
Why should you hire me?
My passion for mathematics has led to the development of my problem-solving abilities, my skills in mathematics have also demonstrate that I am a logical and rational thinker. I am an extroverted person who has developed leadership skills through my role as a form captain through years 10, 11, and now, 12. Alongside my roles as form captain: I have been selected as prefect in both mathematics and physics, this has led to experience in tutoring younger students in these subjects. I have been called a ‘completionist’ and a perfectionist by my tutors and peers as a result of my determination to go beyond the regular student curriculum.
• Time management and prioritisation.
• Above average arithmetic ability.
• Accessible through multiple forms of communication.
• General management and leadership practice.
In the near future: I wish to study Mathematics with Physics at Cambridge University in order to become a research cosmologist, studying the outer mechanics of the universe in an attempt to unravel any of the endless enigmas humanity is yet to un-code. In order to achieve my goal: I am hoping to soak up as much experience as possible to broaden my opportunities.
