I strongly believe that sessions should be tailored to a students specific needs to suit the way they learn best. Ideally students should be able to identify areas of weakness that they would like to focus on during the session and I would first go about explaining the general topic and then get more specific as I go along; Students would then be able to pinpoint areas that need more explaining and we can focus most on those and wrap up the lesson with some exercises and past paper questions to make sure that all points have come across clearly.
I completed my A levels in Chemistry, Biology and Maths achieving an A in all three so I'm quite competent with the sciences. I have worked as a teachers assistant during my A levels providing academic support for children and was a subject ambassador providing private tutoring for younger children. I just finished sixth form so all the information as well as examination techniques are still fresh in my mind and I am very familiar with the new spec. It can be quite demanding but with certain techniques and past papers questions that we will go through I can help simplify things and make taking the exams a lot easier.
