I teach GCSE students how to pass, and achieve the grade they want particularly in English.
I work alongside the syllabus and exam mark schemes to prove to students that they are good enough. I will provide hour long sessions to make sure students pass.
I have got an A-Level in English Literature at grade B and GCSE in both English Literature and Language at grade A.
I am new to tutoring but will provide comprehensive understanding to the subject as I have trained myself.
Description
There are several skills I have acquired over a long period of time, enhancing every aspect of myself. My confidence and approachability enables me to be eligible for jobs across a wide spectrum. Due to this I believe a job in retail or restuarants would be ideal for myself. Moreover, I can adapt to my surroundings with relative ease meaning my flexibility is large in terms of part time and temporary jobs. Time keeping is also something which is vital within this sector and something which I have learned through my experience from university and previous work. This and my full skill set gives me a large sense of responsibility and trust that is needed for all sectors of work.
Previous Work
The County Hotel
Once starting university, I got a job as a waiter over the Christmas period. Here I served many meals to both large parties and in the restaurant. I again used a till and worked with money. I was subject to waiting upon tables, being polite and courteous, and serving food with etiquette. My versatility over the period of time allowed me to serve drinks and become an impromptu barista and serve coffee. Furthermore, I cleaned and washed up at the end of functions using teamwork to get the job done as well as possible.
Park Road Fisheries
At Park Road Fisheries which gave me some real life experience with people and customer service which I may have to use later on in life. For example trying to deal with unsatisfied customers, this may happen in any business and being able to be calm and collected is a great quality. I also learnt how to use a till quickly and efficiently enabling me to work in both retail and catering environment with prior experience and confidence. The pace of this job on certain evenings was challenging, but I was always able to cope with it and provide quality without restricting speed of service.
