Have had 3 years experience tutoring 5 different children from 11+ exams to GCSE. I usually stick to the national curriculum as a basis with them, asking students to buy any textbooks that I recommend and I tend to encourage vocabulary from beyond the age group to further excel the student in English. I make sure to go through all areas of English with emphasis on any areas that the student feels they are slightly weaker on. I leave homework every week and check through them the following week.
I have been giving lessons weekly for 3 years now and have taught altogether 5 different children within the range of 9-16 years old. Every student I have taught, whether it be for end of year exam or 11+ has seen positive results and achieved the grades that they wanted to get to.
