I am an experienced teacher of English to students aged 16-adult. I am patient and relaxed, and work at your pace with focus on the skills that you particularly want to develop, whether you are studying for a qualification or not.

I teach English Language and English Literature.

I have a PGCE and BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature 2.1.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £25 per hour for 1 student, £15 per person per hour for 2-4 students.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Brighton and Hove.
- When are you available?
I am available in the afternoon and evening on Fridays, or afternoons on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach students in Year 11, 12, 13 and adults.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for Functional Skills, GCSE or AS exams. I also teach people who are not preparing for exams but who want to improve their English skills.

Lessons are built around your particular requirements, to improve your skills in the English language and if you are taking exams, to prepare you for them. I use a variety of resources to make lessons more interesting and help you to learn in a way that suits you. Tuition sessions can give you space to focus on learning, helping you to move towards your goals.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching English since 2013, both classroom teaching and individual tutorials, to students aged 16+ in FE and Adult Education colleges.

I gained my PGCE through Brighton University, and my degree through the Open University.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
The students I teach currently are people aged 16 - adult, working towards a qualification so that they can apply for higher education or employment or promotion. Some are taking full time courses at college and need extra support away from the classroom, and some attend evening class to achieve a GCSE or Functional Skills qualification.
