Camilla Otaki taught me English A-level (2004-5). Curricular classes were excellently prepared with material and tasks that went beyond the narrow confines of the syllabus. It was a privilege to be taught by someone who had a real enthusiasm for the broader literary and cultural picture of the books we studied, and who therefore had a natural skill for inciting debate and reflection.
"I'm just emailing you to let you know that I received my AS level result for English literature today and I managed to get an A and in fact received full marks in the exam! Therefore, thank you very much for all the help you gave me during the period that you tutored me, it was extremely beneficial!"
Camilla is a caring professional, personable, intelligent and committed, who works hard to secure the best outcomes for her pupils. She is thoroughly aware of examination criteria and the latest techniques to scaffold success, quickly identifying areas where support is required. She will thoughtfully consider ways to engage each pupil's interest, ensuring that the tutoring sessions are constructive and enjoyable. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
