With maths I focus hugely on ensuring a student understands the topic and the logic behind each scenario. I believe that simply forcing students to memorize equations is a risk and by understanding the logic behind each topic, if you do forget equations or methods - you are able to work back from your basic principles that you know to be true from your understanding and figure out the method on your own.
I also like to encourage students to constantly seek areas where they need improvement which I am able to do simply through tests and detailed evaluation and feedback. This helps me to understand a students capabilities and personalize every lesson so that it is tailored to their needs and will benefit them the most.
I am studying maths, further maths, physics and product design in my first year of A-Levels. At GCSE I achieved a high level 9 grade, which is the top grade. (By the old grading system, a level 8 would be the equivalent of an A*).
I have interest in technology and psychology and have had and still have many different skills from 3D design to playing the guitar to online marketing.
I have little experience doing paid tutoring however I often take on younger students through my school to help them develop maths including spending time with them after schools, volunteering in lessons and also helping others in my class most lessons. I have been doing this for a few years now and have developed a good understanding of how to explain things in a way that makes maths easy to understand.
