LESSONS WILL TAKE PLACE ON ZOOM DUE TO COVID-19.
My teaching is specifically for GCSE maths students as i have been working with students at gcse for a long time in regards to the old and new specification so i have seen how it has changed over time. I like to set a small maths test before i begin tutoring a new student so i can see what level they are at and what areas we will need to target and work on specifically. I always begin my classes with a small recap with what i have taught in the previous lesson to ensure that they have understood the topic completely and if they have any new questions about it they will get the opportunity to ask. I like to encourage students to ask questions and really understand subjects. I find to use a variety of teaching methods effective such as asking students to explain the process, Incorporate storytelling to make connections to real-world scenarios, repetition, timed testing and many more methods. I will also give out homework in which i expect to be completed by the student each week in order to ensure their progress. I also provide extended work in which i know not all pupils can complete as they may have a busy schedule but this is for the pupils who want to go above and beyond but i wont make extended work compulsory unless i see that they are struggling with the work but all homework is compulsory for their progress.
I am currently studying for a BSC Economics degree in which many of my modules involve maths and statistics on my course. I have been tutoring for 4 years now as my dad is a headteacher in an international school and i have been able to go into the schools and support a variety of children in maths from many different backgrounds and different levels both strong and weak. During these four years i have also done individual lessons and group lessons both online and in person. Every child that i have taught has managed to achieve two grades above their target grade in their final GCSE exams. I have always had a huge intrest in maths in which i took my statistics exam when i was in year 9 and achieved a grade A which was two years early. I have always had a passion for maths and statistics and i continue to do so in university as i am in the maths society in which we have to answer complex equations and compete.
I also do group lessons throughout the week with my students in groups up to 6. I charge £20. If you book block rates of 5 or 10 hours you will get £20 pound off, in regards a free lesson

Problem Solving. As a tutor, you have to have great problem-solving skills — and not just math ones.
Organization. Being a tutor can get messy, especially if you have multiple students and even multiple subjects that you are teaching. .
Great girl, solid lesson plans. Good insight.
Jasmine taught me GCSE maths and I went from a level 4 to a level 7. I would highly recommend her because she is very good at explanations.
Excellent teacher with fantastic subject knowledge. My son was predicted a grade 6 but ended up with a 9. Highly recommend
