Methodology

My technique is to start from the basics. My students must learn the parts of the guitar, the roles they play and how to hold the guitar. I would then move onto teaching the students the name of the strings and basic open chords. After the student had learned the basic chords, I would then teach them chord progressions and give them an easy song to learn. The student would also learn how to read tabs. I would prefer to teach students with little knowledge of the guitar as I am more interested in getting the students to start playing and for students to become more aware of the instrument.
