My teaching method includes setting important core readings to openly and critically discuss together, and establishing ways of connecting different social theories across scholarships to put together a cohesive and interesting answer to essays and exam questions. At university level, is difficult to simply follow a set formula to achieve top results. Therefore, I am excited at the prospect of teaching students how to think through papers with an academic eye and how to articulate complex ideas in carefully crafted ways.
I have recently finished my BA (Hons) in Geography at a Russell Group University (First Class ) and will be studying for my MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge in October after being awarded the Newton Master's Scholarship Award. I have received two academic awards at university for achieving the highest grade in both my first and second year, with awards still to be announced for the final year. During my degree, I have written extensive essays and accumulated readings on a variety of topics, such as geopolitics: Post 9/11, public space, international development, society and economy in India, urbanisation, race and social justice, political economy of Malaysia, cultural geography, economic geography, feminist geography and biomedical geography. I am looking to utilise three years worth of university level appropriate knowledge to help tutor and guide my students.
Please note: I will not receive the official verification of my graduate transcript until July 11th.
