I teach in a way which is very much focused on the student. I usually like to talk through the desired topic with the student in a slow and methodical way and then move onto allowing the student to test their knowledge by completely a worksheet or some questions which address the topic. If the student is older and has had the chance to do some preparatory work, I like to talk through that with them and identify any areas which may need improvement in order for them to achieve best possible results. I try not to be too rigid about how I teach as I recognise every student is different, working in different ways and at different paces.
Hello! My name is Serena an I am currently studying BA Geography at the University of Exeter. I have done a small amount of tutoring in the past and am keen to gain more experience, having worked a lot with children over the last five years as well as in a school. Last year I also did some volunteering, working as a teacher in a primary and nursery school with classes of over 70 children so have had experience of teaching primary-level classes. I am passionate about all three subjects, particularly human geography and am capable of tutoring the subjects up to GCSE level, however I have A-levels in all three subjects (A*AA). I do not have a car so prefer to do online tutoring however I am happy to meet in person if it is within walking/bus distance of the university. Do get in touch if you have any questions!
£5 travelling fee is only charged if required
