A* Geography student, passionate and engaging, with an Enhacned DBS. I teach both human and physical geography, with lots of experience regarding exam technique and active and passive revision exerci
About the lesson
Lessons will be catered to your learning style. I like to take a structured approach where a student's goals are known beforehand. I aim to improve a student's confidence by actively working to embed knowledge and teach them to have a more comprehensive understanding of the subject. Exam techniques will be taught, and revision ideas provided as well.
The first lesson typically involves me assessing a student's ability, responsiveness to different learning techniques, and the current curriculum they follow. This will enable us to decide on a student's goals they aspire to achieve with tutoring. We can then decide how to structure our sessions to best progress a student's ability.
From then on weekly lessons will integrate the learnings of previous weeks to improve the retrieval of content taught. I like to empower students so they feel confident enough to teach me the topics we will cover! My kind nature makes the mistakes of learning feel comfortable too, I’m here to support you on the journey, which is ultimately yours to make.
Over 100 taught hours in Geography and an enhanced DBS (pending).

I am a passionate A* grade geography student who wishes to study the discipline at a degree level in the next few years. I am a tutor at my college, in economics also therefore I understand the coalescence of these subjects which come together to dynamically influence human geography and physical geography alike.
I have traveled to the Azores for the premise of geographical study and research. Also, having traveled to Costa Rica I studied their sustainable development model and wrote a project report detailing my findings.
I have also taken part in exam technique seminars for A-level Geography which advocate the use of spatial and temporal evaluations which I teach to students.
Perfect! Asha is fantastic tutor. Asha is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional person. She is preparing my son for his GCSE exams. She keeps student engaged throughout the lessons. Always very well prepared to the lessons, and easily adapting her teaching methods to the student needs. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
