Methodology

My teaching method is based on tried methods and my own experience as being a student tutored when I was a teenager. I primarily focus on primary and secondary school-aged children in English and Social Sciences, however, am well knowledgeable on Business Studies and History as well.
On the first lesson, I will assess where you sit academically through a small activity (nothing scary don't worry!) and from there I'll work with you what you want to get out of the tutoring and the steps we will take to get you there. I want this to be as an enjoyable experience for you as possible!

Hiya,

I'm Stella and I am currently studying a BA (hons) in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths College, University of London. (3rd year) and am DBS checked.

I come from New Zealand originally where I was educated with the CIE system ( Cambridge International Examinations) which put a great deal of emphasis on how much hard work provides good results.

A passion of mine has always been helping others and I'd love to help out yourself or your child to gain a better understanding on whatever topic they may be struggling at and helping them get across the line.

While I was at High School, I did A-Levels in Geography, History, English Language and Business studies. During my IGCSES I did History, Geography, English literature, English Language, Spanish, Biology and Extended Mathematics.

I proudly achieved a range of A*'s and A's in these subjects.

In particular through studying Business studies, it provoked my interest in entrepreneurship and communications. Thus, this led me to pursue a degree in Media and Communications and hopefully, one day set up my own consultancy agency or work within NGOs.

I am currently tutoring a lovely 7-year-old girl in Year 2 English and have taught Year 2 English, Year 11 English Literature and preparation for the ILETS exam. I would love to expand my client base as it has been a great experience so far!
