My philosophy is that the best way for a student to improve in English is through regular practice, and so my classes are based primarily around analysing literary extracts, writing descriptive pieces, and honing in on a student's exam technique. After this, my lessons are structured around gaps in that particular student's knowledge, exam style or skill.
As I have experience in memory techniques related to studying, I incorporate breaks and review periods into my lessons, depending on the ability of the student. My lessons are suitable for students of any target grade or ability, and the structure may change depending on this.
I have been supporting students in multiple subjects ranging from English to Latin for over two years, with experience in both one-to-one with lower ability students, and whole classes with mixed ability students. Some of my experience includes supporting a Year 7 English class and a Year 11 Latin class in exam technique, creative writing, and literary analysis.
At GCSE, I achieved all grades 7-9 (only 20% of students had received one grade 7-9 in 2019), with two 9s in Latin and English Language, and an 8 in English Literature (as well as others). Currently, I study A-Level Latin, Law and History. At present, my target grades are all As and this is what I consistently achieve in assessments as well.
None of my past students have taken exams yet, but they have all seen continued improvement in class assessments.

I'm someone who's studied and worked with Hafsah for a long time now. She's a fabulous person, both as a student and as a tutor. She works well with people of all personalities, abilities and ages. Personally, I've found that she's good at teaching many subjects, from Maths to Science to English.
Hafsah supported me during my GCSEs. She's really easy to talk to and I found it super easy to ask her for help! She's always willing to help, which is great because she's got loads of experience supporting students in the new GCSE specification (9-1). She helped me with both Latin and English Literature, and my literary analysis in both subjects really massively improved! I would definitely recommend her
