I have just completed my IB diploma and looking to tutor AS, GCSE> students in the fields of Mathematics and Physics.
My method of teaching is based on the Feynman Method where students are required to explain stuff they learned to me as if they are teaching me. Everything students learn is supported by analogies and real life examples. For example, when explaining circuits, I would use water pipe analogy to describe current. In this way, they should remember the material longer and more accurate. Students are also expected to demonstrate their understandings by applying their view/thinking onto a different example.
If students need help besides maths&physics, for example, essay writing, then I am also willing to help.
At school, I have been tutoring year 10 students physics every Friday for 6 months. The results for the students I have tutored are promising. After just a month of tutoring, his grade went from C to A in physics. I have also tutored piano to children aged six & eight, so I do not mind working with children.
