I take an individual approach to each project as the process will be unique. I aim to always make each lesson fun and enjoyable while teaching you how to use new materials, techniques and processes to bring your idea to life, so show me your ideas and lets get to work!
I have been studying Art since my GCSE's through A-Levels doing Art and Textiles, A foundation diploma in Art and Design and finally my Degree in model/prop making for the Film Industry. I have applied to do a 1 year model making course with a focus on miniatures in animation which has always been of particular interest to me. I was lucky enough to work on the film Justice League in the props and costumes department and continue to work on my own projects in my spare time making miniatures and cosplay costumes.
Rates will vary depending on the techniques required to complete the project and are not inclusive of any materials needed. Please note that if you need to cancel I will require 48 hours notice in order to issue a refund.
Thank you for looking.
I am a keen and enthusiastic graduate with meticulous attention to fine and intricate details. I have a particular interest in miniatures but am able to work at any scale with a variety of materials to a given deadline. Experience working with children in a teaching environment ensuring high levels of engagement and enjoyment for pupils.
I am able to develop a coherent design throughout a process of extensive research and development, this journey also enables me to draw conclusions and solve design complications.
As a team member I can communicate complex ideas verbally in an informal setting. Conversely, I am also able to construct concise and professional documents that convey necessary information in a variety of formats, such as; emails, presentations and letters. Whilst working at Surrey Sports Park, I am continuing to develop my communication skills. As the sole point of contact for the Climbing Wall, I am responsible for delivering excellent levels of customer service, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
While working at various nurseries in Surrey and Barracudas activity camp I became accustomed to working with the other teachers to provide the children with a fun and organised daily routine. Group activities such as registration time and outdoor sporting activities required multiple teachers working together but classes such as lab rats (science) and art I was able to run by myself with sole responsibility for the class
I am able to work effectively and in compliance with given safety regulations within a workshop environment which includes the use of; band-saw, Disc/belt sander, pillar-drill, lathe, vacuum former and laser cutter as well as hand held power tools. I have developed a good understanding of a wide range of materials such as; steel, silver, aluminum, copper, wood, paper, acrylic, styrene, perspex, silicone, resin, fiberglass, plaster and clay. This has enabled me to gain experience in moulding and casting which has been an invaluable resource throughout my projects and enables me to teach children some simple 3d plaster casting which is often something they have not experienced before.
I am proficient in Microsoft Office as well as certain EPOS systems.
