Graham - Edgware - Music Theory

Methodology

I am an experienced teacher, performer and conductor. At present, my practice 'edgmusic' tutors around 24 pupils from ages 10 to adult, from Grade 4 to post Grade 8.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

Piano, keyboard, theory and GCSE/A-level music coaching. Musical appreciation for groups of adults or home-schooled pupils during the day.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

Graduate of the Guildhall School of Music (GGSM London)

- How much do you charge?

£17 for a 30 minute lesson and pro rata for longer lessons. Initial consultation is free of charge and without obligation.

Application can be made for reduced rates, available to particularly talented pupils with limited means.

- Where do you teach?

At my home. I do not travel to pupils' houses.

- When are you available?

Saturday to Tuesday, but limited availability. I teach for most of the year, including some 'holiday' weeks.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

Ages 10 to adult. Usually Grade 4 upward, but this is flexible if a prospective pupil shows good potential, and can be discussed at the consultation lesson/meeting.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

Any practical or theory exam for the Associated Board or Trinity/Guildhall. GCSE and A-level music. If pupils/parents do not wish to take exams there is no pressure to do so.
