Greg's willingness, confidence, patience and capability as a vocal coach was remarkable, and very rarely seen in people of his age.
Greg is very ambitious with a strong sense of determination and dedication in his pursuit of excellence. He works hard to continue refining his craft.
Greg is a talented musician and he shared his talents with us generously. All students enjoyed having him in the class and he was an excellent role model for them. He has a confident, warm manner and was willing to help in any way needed. He was comfortable addressing the class as a whole as well as giving individual or group tuition. He coped well with the range of ages and we both enjoyed some lovely lessons with the Year 2 class.
Greg is an outstandingly good ensemble singer. He has a lovely voice with which he can sing solos excellently, but it is his team playing spirit which is the most remarkable, and a very fine attribute. He makes a lovely sound right across the baritone range, and sight reads faultlessly. He is liked by everyone, and has a delightful way of deferring, in the best sense, to others. As such, he is the perfect ensemble singer.
Greg is a remarkably accomplished musician, and a very fine singer. He is utterly reliable in terms of sight reading, and his voice is rich and fully under control. He has a very natural understanding of what is required for ensemble singing, but is also very capable of excellent solo contributions as well. His love of choral music is evident, and his interest in and understanding of a wide range of musical periods and styles is notable.
Greg is an exceptional musician and performer who combines creativity, precision and adventurousness to great effect. As a musical director, Greg brings the best possible from his vocalists and musicians. As a performer he never fails to impress, not only with his vocal, but also his acting versatility.
Personally, I have very much enjoyed every opportunity I have had to work with Greg and he has been a huge creative influence on my own work.
Greg has been a huge help in meeting what seemed a mammoth challenge just six weeks ago: singing a solo as best man for a friend's wedding. Greg's positivity and can-do attitude went a long way to making me think it was possible, as did his experience as an a cappella singer. Just a few sessions and six weeks later I was ready to go. The performance - to 200 people - was great, and most people that spoke to me afterwards assumed I sung for a living. This wouldn't have been possible without Greg!
