I have recently moved to Glasgow and am keen to take on new students.
I am a 28-year-old University Master’s graduate from Brighton. As of January 2018, I have been playing guitar for over 21 years. I am primarily self-taught although I have, in my time, taken lessons with several well-established instructors and have a Grade 8 certificate from Trinity & Guildhall.
In recent years, I have been playing guitar at a professional level, in a number of bands and ensembles, performing both covers and original material; as an accompanist for a female jazz vocalist; and as a solo performer.
I aim to cater lessons to the individual, whatever their technical ability, level of musical understanding, or personal taste. Ultimately, my aim is always to help you gain the skills you need to go on and pursue whatever musical avenue most appeals to you.
I am relatively new to teaching (a fact fairly reflected in my fee), but am keen to gain more experience and further develop my practice.
Since moving to Glasgow at the start of the year I have already taken on two new students (both of whom, I am happy to report, have already demonstrated considerable improvement on the instrument).
I have a Master's degree in Contemporary Literature from Sussex University (2013 – 2015) and a 2,1 Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Kingston University, London (2009 – 2012)
