- Tell me about some of your current students.
Currently my youngest student is 8 years old. We are learning some pop songs (Ollie Murs, Bruno Mars, Pharell, Black Eyed Peas...) on acoustic guitar. He also enjoys coming up with ideas and singing his own songs!
Some of the older students are working towards Rockshool Grades, which give a great foundation in all aspects of playing guitar. These grades can eventually be used towards UCAS points for further education.
I always try to incorporate some theory, rhythm work, technique and reading into my lessons, as well as the fun part where we get to work on songs!
Everyone gets into guitar for different reasons and have very varied goals and tastes. I always try to cater the lessons to what each student is looking to achieve.
