About Elie
As a teacher, I’m determined to make learning guitar personal, fun, accessible, and most importantly, achievable. Music is often associated with impossible standards and more dedication than anyone can handle. I teach guitar in a way that honors the desire to create amazing music while also eliminating the maddening pressure associated with the outcome. When I started learning guitar, I didn’t have an ounce of musical knowledge - neither theory nor technique. But I learned from the ground up in a way that was low-stress and fun. As a teacher, I put emphasis on connecting the skill to who you are and work with each person to develop a method of practicing and learning that works for them while recognizing the vast and adventurous musical traditions that already exist.
