I am in my final year of medical school and need to earn some extra money to pay my way through.
I have experience teaching beginners and intermediate level players.
I feel that learning to play the guitar is really fun, but the first stages are quite hard. That doesn't mean the first stages have to be boring too.
I teach some basic technical drills and theory then focus on learning songs with the student so that they learn to play the songs they like and get to grips with basic technique.
I have been told I am very patient, encouraging and set a good lesson plan. I love teaching, it is amazing watching people get better at the guitar and get more confident and have fun as a result.
I have taught guitar on and off since I was at school. I have had 5 students so far.
3 of them went on to learn to play and sing songs. They performed at open mic nights and I was insanely proud and fawning like a mother hen. I remember my first open mic night and the first time I tried singing and playing at the same time. Very brave of them to have gone for it!
Having both known Prerak for 4 years and having been his tutee for my medical school exams, I can confidently say that he is an approachable, thoughtful and knowledgeable individual. He breaks down complex material into easily understood portions, and is more than happy to think of new ways to explain a concept to make sure that it can easily be learned and recalled. His calm demeanor ensures that any anxieties about the topic at hand are easily overcome and the time I've spent learning from him has been thoroughly enjoyable.
I met Prerak at an university show where he was performing with his band. I spoke to him there and asked how I would be able to learn to play the Guitar. He was very friendly and that's when he offered me affordable guitar lessons.
Prerak is easy-going and extremely patient creating a comfortable vibe for learning. Moreover, he provides clear specific instructions while tutoring which makes his his lessons effective. I felt more fluent and confident after each of my twenty lessons with Prerak. It feels great to be able to play many simple tunes as well as a few difficult songs! Looking back I am glad I had him as my tutor and I highly recommend him.
