About the lesson
I am a friendly and experienced teacher and professional bass player and guitarist with tons of experience. I pride myself on being a patient, encouraging and intuitive teacher.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach guitar and bass guitar from beginner to professional level. I also cover various aspects of music theory as part of the course as it tends to aid the learning process and achieve faster results. I strive to make each lesson as fun and rewarding as possible.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I initially piano and then guitar to Grade 6 AMEB during school. In 2003 I began studying a Bachelor of Music Performance at the VCA (Melbourne University), majoring in guitar improvisation and focusing on guitar styles, history and theory. During my time at VCA I also studied bass improvisation and played bass in various college ensembles. In 2007 I completed my BMus (Hons) and in 2008 I completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology at Monash University.

About Paul
- What kind of experience do you have?
My father, Stephen Housden, is well known in Australia and USA as the lead guitarist of the Little River Band, who achieved huge chart success in the 70's and 80's. From a young age I absorbed everything I could from my father's guitar playing and attended many of his seminars. I studied piano and guitar from age six and developed both to high level and topping my state (Victoria) in Music Group Performance in my final year of school in Australia. For the past 12 years I have been in high demand playing sessions for many top ten Australian acts, such as Belinda Emmet, Abbey Dobson (Leonardo's Bride) & The Whitlams. I have also toured extensively and played numerous festivals with my own band Foxx on Fire in Australia, Ireland and the UK.
