Each student's syllabus will be tailor made based on their current skill level, goals and tastes, with exercises and repertoire added to enhance their learning.
Lessons are usually divided into three parts; recap of previous lesson, technical studies and learning something new.
Having 10 years of professional teaching experience with students of all ages, BA (Hons) in Classical Music Performance and experience in the music industry, I am an ideal teacher for any student, whether their interest is casual, educational or professional, or for any genre, such as pop, rock, classical, jazz or world music.
I have been actively involved in music since beginning violin at the age of 6 and guitar at 8. This experience has encompassed a broad range of styles and disciplines, including Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Folk..
I have been in numerous bands and ensembles and performed in a variety of different venues. I have actively sought out musicians of varying styles over the years to further my knowledge and enjoy the act of creating music with as many people as possible. I have performed in any and all situations that have become available to me, including gigs, concerts, music therapy and wedding services/receptions.
I have been noted for both my technical and creative expertise, my ability to sight read and my deep knowledge of music theory.
