My methods are inspired by the individual vocalist, and their goals and aspirations. I will work with beginners - professionals, and aim to encourage my students to always be themselves! Vocal technique, musicianship and and performance skills shall all be incorporated into our sessions, to allow you to be a well-rounded performer, as well as vocalist. I am open to singers of all levels. All I ask is that you have a passion for music, and well get on wonderfully!
I have been singing for over 10 years in styles ranging from musical theatre, to soul and rock. I love collaboratively working with other musicians, and my time at Leeds College of Music allowed me explore this. I was a contestant on this year's The Voice UK, and progressed with my incredible coach Meghan Trainor to the Knockout Rounds. I learnt so much about the industry from this, and from my time gigging and working amongst musicians, and I am eager to share my knowledge!
If there is a cancellation, the student is required to still pay the full fee, unless given 48 hours notice.
I am a 22 year old originally from Kent, and a 2019 Graduate from Leeds College of Music, where I studied Popular Music Vocals, and was granted a 2:1, certified by the University of Hull. I obtained a part-time retail job throughout university, and began work as a barista in my final year, at an independent coffee shop in Leeds from November 2018-2019. Thriving off of an active and social schedule, I am someone would much prefer to be busy than not! I hate the thought of sitting around with the hope that luck will fall into my lap, and am eager to write my own fate by putting in hard work in all I do. I decided to sign up for The Voice UK when in my final year of University, and worked my way through a gruelling audition process to land myself a ‘blind audition’, which only 100 people out of 18,000 were selected for. Having made it to the final 24 in the ‘Knockout’ rounds, I am eager to continue my career as a musician and follow my passions, however am equally driven to work hard in other fields to support myself. My confidence is one of my most evident personality traits, with it being encouraged from an early age having grown up on the stage, excelling in music, the dramatic arts and English. Studying music allowed me to indulge in my passion every day, and the competitively creative environment drove me to flourish; being surrounded by determined, likeminded individuals. At university I discovered the world of writing and collaborating, which highlighted my ‘people’ skills. My collaborative course grades reflected my ability to become a leader in collaborative situations. I found myself to be very comfortable organising group sessions and activities in successful ways. It became evident to my family that I thrived on the stage, excelling when I was pushed and challenged; and I hope to continue to challenge myself in everything I do, confronting my fears head on.
I enjoyed school for the most part, spending most of my time engrossed in extra-curricular activities such as the school Productions, claiming Lead Roles in Productions including ’Little Shop of Horrors’ where I landed the role of ‘Chiffon’, and ‘Whistle Down the Wind’, in which I played ‘Swallow’. I mirrored this success in academic achievements, gaining the role of Senior Prefect in Year 13. Further to this, at the age of 13 I was the youngest member to enter the Chamber Choir, a role that I kept throughout my school experience. Upon moving to Higher Education, my involvement in choirs increased, as I was accepted into the LCoM Contemporary Pop Choir in my first year, and sang with them throughout my three years. As a result of this, I sang as an Alto in the ‘Leeds Contemporary Singers’, who won BBC Show 'Pitch Battle' in 2017! The Voice UK is my most proud achievement to date. I challenged myself vocally and mentally, having to prepare myself for performances which would be seen live by Pop legends, and streamed over the world forever. I learnt a lot about myself throughout the process, and believe that if I can confidently stand on a stage in front of the world; I can do anything. Moreover, external activities I have succeeded in range from becoming a PADI Open Water Diver, to working a summer of 15 festivals such as Glastonbury and Boomtown; experiences I will treasure always.

Social Media / Music
As a 22 year old woman having had my taste at being in the public eye, I understand the relevance of social media. I am currently working to grow my personal following, and am obsessed with finding the latest trends and working them into my own style. I am very into the world of social media, and see how it elevates peoples lives. To find out more about me and my music, I would love for you to head over to my instagram - @oliross_ .
I have worked from the age of 14, at which age I began working as a children’s entertainer, dressing up as popular Disney stars and running parties, often including a singing section where I would sing a few of the Princess’ most popular songs to the children. I found a love for working with children, and gained both confidence and leadership skills due to this; often entertaining up to as many as 30 children at a time, yet I stopped this at 17 to focus on my A-Levels. After finishing school in 2016 I worked as a barista on a coffee stool, selling coffee at festivals. I worked the summer season from May – late August, often working 14 hour days consecutively, and despite the long hours, I enjoyed the work and customer interaction. I became a Sales Advisor at ‘White Stuff’ from September 2016, getting a job just two days after being in Leeds alone. I loved this work and made many fabulous relationships thanks to it. Following this, as said above, I worked as a Barista for a year which was a lovely part - time job, and currently work for All Saints in Leeds as a Womenswear stylist, yet am hoping to move to the South again. I love being in the world of fashion, and All Saints has allowed me to express my style through the alternative pieces the brand provides, whilst providing me with the tools to successfully style women and men alike. I believe fashion should reflect your personality, and allowing my customers to feel confident stepping out as the best version of themselves has been an absolute pleasure. I have recently started teaching online vocal lessons, which I very much enjoy doing as it allows me to put my skillsets to use, and support students in the same incredible ways that my tutor’s supported me.
