About the lesson
Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2012 with an MA in Performance on the flute, with a fun and enthusiastic approach to teaching; encouraging and helping pupils to work to the best of their ability.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach flute (including fife and piccolo), singing, piano and music theory. I also tutor Maths and Music up to GCSE, with modules of Music up to A level.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BMus (hons) degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2:1) as well as a Masters in the flute from the Royal Academy of Music. I also have grade 8 in singing and piano. I am a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music. A Levels: Music (A), Maths (A), Fine Art (A); AS Levels: Music (A), Maths (A), Fine Art (A), Chemistry (A); GCSEs: 9A* including English, Maths and Music.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £32 an hour for flute (including piccolo and fife), singing, piano and music theory. I charge £36 an hour for Maths and academic Music.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home in London Colney.
- When are you available?
I teach on Saturdays as well as evenings during the week. During school holidays I can teach during the day as well.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
For flute I teach all levels including post grade 8 standard. Singing I teach up to and including grade 8 standard. Piano I teach up to and including grade 5 standard. I currently teach from beginner to grade 8 theory.

About Hannah
- What kind of experience do you have?
I been a private music teacher for many years teaching both beginners and more advanced students; I teach pupils as young as 6 to adults. I also cover other instrumental teachers' lessons when they are unavailable, including on other wind instruments such as the clarinet, and provide 'top up' lessons during school holidays. I was the Musician in Residence at the acclaimed Christ's Hospital School in Horsham from 2012-2013. From September 2013 I will be working in the Music Department of Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School in Elstree.
