I primarily English up to A level and the 11 plus for entry to London day schools. I also have experience teaching maths up to age 11, having taught at a London prep school. I have tutored privately and taught in the classroom, children aged from 3 up to 18, so have a good knowledge of children's academic development.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
BA, English and Linguistics (2:1)
A-Levels: AAB (English, Psychology and French)
- How much do you charge?
Depending on how far I have to travel, I charge a small cost to cover my expenses. I usually teach one-on-one, but am happy to discuss discounts for group lessons and/or more than one student.
- Where do you teach?
I live in South West London and always teach in the students home as, in my experience, this is where they feel most at ease. I am more than willing to travel across London at a small extra cost. Please let me know and we can discuss your requirements.
- When are you available?
Weekdays and weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Children primary age up to 18.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- Do you have a personal message for students?
'Develop a passion for learning. If you do you will never cease to grow' (D'Angelo).
- What kind of experience do you have?
I am an accredited tutor with Bonas McFarlane, the top agency in London, (as rated by the good schools guide) and have been tutoring now for 7 years (before, during and after university). I first started tutoring a young boy with dyslexia and ADHD during the summer holidays and it all grew from there. We worked primarily on literacy and numeracy as he had fallen behind and not been given the attention he required at school. We worked intensely for two weeks and we saw a remarkable change in his confidence, ability and willingness to learn. For him it was all about regaining confidence and having someone to spend time and believe in him. Since then, I have tutored children from age 6 to 18 one on one in Maths and English.
I also taught at a well know London Day school, in the prep department (age 3 to 11), for a year, before now becoming a professional tutor and food writer.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

I attended a prestigious London day school for girls and subsequently went on to take my degree at the University of London.
